With over a decade of experience in the New Zealand construction sector, Zane is the Managing Director of Dean Murray & Partners, leading a team of more than 20 staff while remaining actively involved in project delivery across commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, and office developments, along with seismic upgrades and large scale refurbishments. He specialises in end to end cost management, providing clear commercial leadership from early feasibility through to final account.
Zane is known for his pragmatic approach and strong client side representation, working closely with developers, asset owners, and operators to drive outcomes that are both commercially sound and deliverable. His ability to build long term relationships is underpinned by clear advice, transparency, and a willingness to challenge where needed to protect client interests.
Alongside leading the business, Zane continues to work across a diverse project portfolio, with a strong focus on cost certainty, risk management, and aligning project strategy with real world market conditions, resulting in projects that are well planned, well procured, and successfully delivered.
If Zane is not in the office, he is likely out on the golf course, still talking construction, just with a slightly better view.
