About Us

The Dean, Murray & Partners partnership dates back to the mid-1960s.

In 1989 Dean, Murray & Partners amalgamated with the quantity surveying partnership of Hill Hendry Associates. This significantly increased a broad base of statistical and cost data and consolidated our ability to muster the technical manpower necessary for major projects.

The team has evolved over the years since this amalgamation and incorporated the directors from MCB (Mallard Cook & Brown Ltd) in the 2010’s.

DMP Partners offers clients the benefit of more than 50 years’ experience in the profession of quantity surveying in New Zealand, undertaking projects throughout the country.

The experience of the directors in handling projects throughout New Zealand and in other Pacific countries has enabled the company to establish a range of skills and services which anticipate the needs of even the most specialist projects.

Dean, Murray, and Partners stands by its expertise through personal service and accountability, a director will be closely involved in all aspects of the project. We have made the strategic decision to keep the company smaller so we can give director involvement throughout the project.

The responsibility for each project is allocated to a specific director who is continually in contact with the client. That partner then draws upon the resources of the company. as necessary to ensure the project’s successful completion. The directors of DMP are experienced in all facets of quantity surveying including feasibility studies through to final account negotiation.

The directors of DMP have a wide experience in a variety of contracting methodologies enable clear advice to be given and contracts negotiated. DMP has a no-nonsense relationship-built approach to our service. Whilst we will work as a team, we have no problems confronting the hard/difficult issues that occur during a project and feel we can do it fairly.

DMP undertake all sizes of projects and work for all range of clients including builders, developers, Lenders, operators etc. We feel this spread of experience gives us an up-to-date accurate understanding of market conditions, rates etc.
